Getting started: what the first 90 days of preparation look like
Most patients are surprised by how organized the bariatric pathway is. There is a clear sequence — and a clear person to call at every step. Here is what the first 90 days look like at Whole Health.
Weeks 1–2: orient yourself
- Watch our free online informational seminar.
- Complete the bariatric questionnaire so we can pre-check insurance eligibility.
- Schedule a consultation with our team.
Weeks 3–6: medical clearance
Depending on your insurance, you may need a supervised nutrition program, a psychological evaluation, and labs. We coordinate it all — you don’t have to navigate alone.
Weeks 7–12: pre-op preparation
- Pre-surgery labs, EKG, and any specialist clearances
- Home prep: vitamins, pillows, soft foods for week two
On surgery day, you’ll arrive in the morning and most patients go home the next day. Then the real work — and the real change — begins.
