At Whole Health Weight Loss we are dedicated to our patients. Our passion in life is to help men and women get their lives back and help them gain control over their weight. This job is so rewarding on its own but reviews like the one below show us how blessed we are to serve our patients.
“Hi Dr. Perryman,
I don’t know if you remember me, but you saved my life back in 2014 with my weight loss surgery.
I wanted to email you so that you knew not only how much you are appreciated, but to share my success with you. There are no words that I could possibly write to express my gratitude for going to bat with the insurance company when they refused to cover the surgery, and getting it overturned, and giving me my life back. I am forever grateful for the second lease on life, and I will never forget the tough love you gave me the morning after surgery – words I continue to carry with me today.
In 2015, my husband suffered a heart attack at 32, and was subsequently diagnosed with a rare bone marrow cancer called Myelofibrosis. I became a caregiver overnight, and the focus on my own health was paused while we navigated through the terrifying waters of treatment and finding our new normal.
I went on to run with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society in 2016 and completed my first 10K at the Santa Rosa Marathon. After losing our home in the 2017 fires, we relocated to the Sacramento area close to our families and bought our first home.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing gift that you have given me. With my gain in confidence, I changed careers and went into law, and now work exclusively on representing the victims of wildfires as a litigation paralegal.
If there is any testament that I can give or if you would like to share my photos with your patients, please do. I wish that everyone could be as lucky as I was to have had such an amazing surgeon and would go through this process over 100 times again. While I do have loose skin from the weight loss that I hope to get removed someday, I am forever grateful for my results.”
Antoinette received a sleeve gastrectomy in 2014. On the day of the surgery she was 368 pounds. Today, she is 179.6 pounds!
A Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy is a weight loss procedure that removes 80 to 90% of the stomach. This procedure is significant not only because it helps the patient control their food intake, but the surgery also removes the part of the stomach that creates the hunger hormone Ghrelin. This allows patients to experience less feelings of hunger.
This procedure can help remove up to 75% of excess body weight in patients and allow them to retake control of their lives like Antoinette did.
If you are struggling with obesity and are looking for help, we are here for you. We commit to our patient’s health. At the Whole Health Weight Loss Institute, we recognize that weight loss is only one step of the journey. We set our patients up for success by pairing them with a dietitan. Education on nutrition is one step of learning how to eat well and keep the weight off for the rest of your life. Healthy eating is the foundation of a quality lifestyle. Our culinary program is both fun and informative!
You get to cook alongside other patients who are on a similar journey as you and learn from a top-notch chef. These programs are a lot of fun and also allow you to learn how to cook healthy meals for yourself and the family!
We want our patients to start off on the right foot and continue feeling empowered by their choice. We offer monthly informational seminars that you can attend solo or with friends and family. These meetings are meant to inform you and keep you inspired to lose weight and live your best life! These meetings are a great time to ask questions and learn more about what to expect from your weight loss journey.
Whole Health Weight Loss also help connect our patients with support groups. Support Groups are crucial in helping our patients feel like a part of a community and, ultimately, feel supported and validated in what they are going through.
Support groups allow our patients to not feel alone but instead to feel encouraged and supported in their choice. Support groups meet regularly and discuss topics like “Mindful Eating.”
At Whole Health, we want you to lose the excess weight and keep it off too! That’s why we set you up for success and ensure you have the resources available to help you live your best life. If Antoinette’s story inspired you to lose excess weight that is slowing you down, we are here for you! Just give us a call or schedule a consultation on the website to start down the path towards a healthy and happy you.
